Welcome to fifth grade!  I am so excited to be at Rose Union!

This is my eleventh year in education.  After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa in 1997 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a degree in Elementary Education, I taught ten years in Putnam City.  I began my career at D.D. Kirkland Elementary where I taught third and fourth grades for seven years, and then I spent the last three years at Coronado Heights Elementary where I taught fifth grade.

I am looking forward to continuing my career in education at Rose Union as the fifth grade Grammar and Writing teacher in addition to teaching a section of math.  We have a wonderful team of teachers to prepare Rose Union’s fifth graders to make a successful transition into middle school.

I am happily married to my husband, Jerrod, who is a system engineer for Aruba Networks.  We are very blessed to have a beautiful daughter named Annabelle who will begin first grade here at Rose Union this year.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and exercising. 

Living in Deer Creek makes me not only a teacher who wants the best for Rose Union, but it also makes me a parent who wants the best for Rose Union.  I am very anxious to help create a place where children will happily anticipate each new day of learning.  Let’s have a fabulous year!
