I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with your child and look forward to having a very exciting year.  I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. 

I grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Putnam City Schools.  It was there that I realized I wanted to be a teacher.  My second grade teacher, Mrs. Bullard, was an amazing educator and, although I didn’t realize it at the time, she was also quite an inspiration.  She was the one teacher who had a lasting impression on me which, in turn, led to my love for school and education. 

The 2011-2012 school year will be my third year in Deer Creek. I taught fourth grade my first year out of college and second grade for three years.  I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  Our class is a learning environment that is flexible and caters to many different learning styles and aptitudes to ensure success for all students.  It is my goal to make sure my students can take away a positive learning experience much in the way I did with my second grade teacher.  When students like coming to school, they arrive prepared and ready to learn.

I have  one "baby"... A black Pug named Callie.  I love to travel, read, take Callie for walks and spend time with family and friends.

It’s a privilege to teach young minds, and I am honored to have the opportunity to make a difference in your child’s life.  I plan on having a wonderful year with you and your student!
