Victoria
Ganjanathavat
Third Grade
Hello! I am Victoria Ganjanathavat and my last name
is pronounced, phonetically, just as it looks, but
until you have had some practice pronouncing it, I
will be happy to go by Mrs. “G”.
I am very proud and excited to be a part of Rose
Union; a school that houses exceptional teachers and
a wonderful administration. I was a fifth grade
teacher at Washington Irving in Edmond before I came
to Rose Union. I taught third grade last year and
fifth grade for three years at Rose Union. I love
teaching any grade, but third graders hold a special
place in my heart!
I was born and raised in Tulsa and I received my
undergraduate degree from the University of Central
Oklahoma (UCO) in Elementary Education. I am
trained in “Great Expectations” and in “Love and
Logic”.
Some workshops that I have attended are "Effective
Strategies for Reading in the Content Areas", "What
Does A Literacy Classroom Look Like", "Never Give
Up" (for struggling readers), and the "Daily Five
Management System", as well as many other math
workshops.
I incorporate training from "Great Expectations" and
"Love and Logic" into my classroom management
style. I believe that all children need consistent
and daily classroom expectations, love and logical
consequences.
My husband, Yongyut (Ute) is from Thailand (The
Land of Smiles). We have three grown children.
Pattya is a Gemologist living in New York, Katie is
an Attorney in Minneapolis and A.J. graduated from
the O.U. School of Medicine this last May and has
now begun his journey as a Neurology Resident.
Besides teaching children, I also love gardening,
painting, sewing, reading, traveling, writing
children’s books and caring for our Shih Tzu and
Yorkie puppies named Poshi and Yoda. Hazel, our
Egyptian Mau cat tends to take care of her
independent self.
Thank you for sharing your child!
