Jean Hart
First Grade

Hello!  My name is Jean Hart.  It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to first grade.  This promises to be a great year of fun and learning.  I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself.

This will be my twenty third year of teaching in the Deer Creek District.  I have taught first grade for twenty one years and second grade for two years.  As you can see, teaching first grade is my passion!

I was born and raised in Nebraska.  I graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Elementary Education.  I moved to Oklahoma after graduation to begin my teaching career.

I have been married for 17 years to my husband, David, who is also a teacher. He teaches math at Deer Creek High School.  We are blessed with two children and one grandchild.  Matthew will be a Deer Creek Freshman this year.  Chelsea and her husband Steven blessed us with a very sweet grandson a couple of years ago.  Bryar will be turning three next month, and he brings much joy to our family!

When I’m not busy being a teacher and a mom, you will find me cheering at Deer Creek  and OSU football games.  I also enjoy gardening, reading, and being involved in church activities. 

It is my desire that your child will find school a happy, fun and exciting place.
