Jennifer Hensley
Fifth Grade

This is my ninth year to teach elementary school.  Before coming to Deer Creek public schools I taught in Oklahoma City Public Schools at Quail Creek Elementary.  I went to the University of Oklahoma, prior to transferring to SWOSU, in Weatherford, Oklahoma.  I got my teaching degree and an endorsement in Language Arts from SWOSU. 

 In 1999 I was awarded the Entry Teacher of the Year for the State of Oklahoma. In 2001-2002 I was selected along with 25 other teachers from across the state of Oklahoma to participate in the Educator's Leadership Academy.  I was a Great Expectation Instructor and obtained my National Board of Teaching Certificate in Middle Childhood Generalist in 2003.

The light of my life is Addy, my Yorkshire Terrior.  I spend a lot of time with family and friends.  I enjoy reading, watching sports, playing tennis, games, and shopping.
