I am currently in my nineteenth year of teaching.  I have taught students from first grade to ninth grade spending the first nine years of teaching experience in special education classrooms.  I am returning to a student resource position after spending the last nine years teaching first, second, and fifth grade students.  This is my eighth year teaching in the Deer Creek District.

 In addition to wearing a Deer Creek Teacher Hat ---- I am a DC parent.  I have three precious children who have grown up in the blink of an eye!  My youngest child, Rachel, is a junior at DCHS.  Derek and Dacia are graduates from DCHS.  Derek is spreading his wings as a freshman at Oklahoma Christian University and Dacia is in her senior year at the University of Oklahoma School of Nursing.  Dacia and her husband Zac blessed me with a darling granddaughter this year.  Makinlee brings such entertainment to our family and I love being GiGi! 

I believe Deer Creek Public Schools offer the best education a child could receive and I am pleased my children received their education in this progressive district.  After school you will often find me at a sport function cheering on the ANTLERS, the COWBOYS in Stillwater, or the EAGLES (Oklahoma Christian University) baseball team in Edmond.
