Stacy Storey
First Grade

My name is Stacy Storey and this is my third year to teach in the classroom.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma.  I chose to stay home with my children for many years but when the opportunity to teach at Rose Union arose, I could not pass on it. 

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  My mother was a teacher and I was surrounded by teachers, and still am.  My husband, Roger works for the FAA in Oklahoma City.  He works in Airman Education/Physiology, so he is in many ways an educator as well.

I have four children.  My oldest is Blake, he is 18.  Then there is Lydia, she is 13.  My third child is Valerie and she is 8.  Finally, my baby is Kathryn.  She will be 4 in September.  As you can see, I have a range of ages in my home but it is great!  We stay very busy!!!

I am so excited to be a part of the teaching profession. I hold high expectations for myself and for my students.   I believe children thrive in a loving, nurturing and positive environment.  First grade is a time when students should feel comfortable to take risks.  I want to provide a safe environment so that as much learning as possible can occur.  I will introduce creative methods for your children to learn.  I want to instill a love for reading and learning in your children.
