Media Specialist

Welcome to the Rose Union Media Center!  I’m the media specialist, Cindy Tarron.  My husband Bill, and I have lived in Edmond since 1986.  We have two grown (well, almost!) children.  Our son, Reeve, is an O.U. graduate, and our daughter, Cara, is a college student.

I love our library and I work hard to make it the most inviting, comfortable, and fun place in our school.  Books have always been important in our family, as those of you who have been to my house know!  I’m excited to have the opportunity to help develop that same love of reading in my students.

I earned a B.S. degree in education from Kansas State University and a Master’s in Instructional Media from the University of Central Oklahoma.  I’ve taught every age of students during my career from pre-school through high school.  I have nineteen years of teaching experience and this is my thirteenth year as a media specialist.

Please come by our media center anytime you’re at R.U.  I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting many new ones!
