Stacey Wilks

My name is Stacey Wilks  and I am very excited about this new year and all of the new faces that are about to enter my room!

This is my 6^th year in the Deer Creek School District and my first year to officially live in the district.  We spent the summer moving into our new home and becoming acquainted with our new DC neighbors.  I am a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in Early Childhood.  I taught preschool my 1st few years after college and then I married my sweetheart, Eric. We have been married for almost 20 years and we have two wonderful boys, Nate will be a sophomore in high school this year and Matthew will be entering middle school (Yikes!) and 2 dogs.

 I had the wonderful privilege of being a stay-at-home  mom with my boys until God interrupted with a terrific opportunity to re-enter the field of teaching. This will be my 7th year back in the classroom. I didn't realize how much I had missed teaching until I dove back in with both feet. I have loved every minute.

     In addition to teaching school, I teach/volunteer at our church, scrapbook and read, in addition to being the taxi driver to all of the boys sporting events and activities.

We are going to have an awesome time getting to know each other this year!
