Becky Worsham
Third Grade
Greetings friends! My name is Becky Worsham and I
am honored to be teaching third grade this year at
Rose Union Elementary. I had the opportunity to
work with the fifth grade team here last year and
knew that Rose Union was a special place. I love
this community and enjoy being apart of such a
strong movement in education that are building not
only creative minds, but caring people. I am truly
looking forward to our year ahead and most
importantly “our journey” along the way.
Before being transferred to the Edmond area six
years ago, my family and I lived in Owasso, Oklahoma
for seven years. I graduated from Ponca City High
School and later attended Oklahoma State
University. My additional educational studies
include Northeastern State University in Broken
Arrow and University of Central Oklahoma. I
graduated with Cum Laude Honors from the University
of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in
Education. I am a certified Oklahoma Teacher and as
well, a certified Great Expectations Teacher in
upper methodology 3-5. I have 15 years background
experience in the school settings K-12. For as long
as I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher!
There is no better well spent time than with that of
a child.
A little about my family: I have been married to my
husband, Rich, for 23 years. He is a sales
specialist for Airgas and has been with the company
for 18 years. We have three fabulous children that
have all attended Deer Creek Schools and loved it!
Our oldest, Courtney, is 19 and is a sophomore at
Oklahoma City University studying medicine. She
graduated from DC last year and I can’t believe she
is already in her second year of college! Allison
is 17 and a senior at Deer Creek this year. She is
in leadership for the high school and will visit
Rose Union some this year in the mentoring program.
She is a DC soccer player and is currently visiting
colleges planning to study broadcast journalism and
definitely wants to continue playing soccer. Our
son Bradley is a fifth grader at DC and loves
baseball and building/putting things together. His
ingenuity even earns him a little spending money
from time to time. I always tell him, he is my
little dream come true… My family is great support
for me and I love spending time with them!
I am truly looking forward in partnering in your
child’s education this year. As you were your
child’s first teacher, I value your thoughts and
ideas. I will welcome him/her with a smile each day
and hold high expectations for them to reach their
goals. We will be confident learners who respect
ourselves and others, ready to discover and know we
can!
